35kv Three-phase Grounded Arc-absorbing Transformer
Arc extinguishing transformer is a kind of special equipment for neutral grounding of power system, which is mainly used to inhibit the arc generated by single-phase grounding fault. Its core function is to compensate for the capacitive current of the grid to ground by adjusting the inductive current, so that the residual current at the point of fault is reduced to the range of self-extinguishing, thus quickly eliminating the arc and preventing over-voltage hazards.
The device adopts the structure of iron core with gap (similar to the arc-canceling coil), and realizes the continuous controllable inductance by adjusting the size of air gap steplessly through mechanical or electromagnetic way. Compared with the traditional arc-absorbing coil, the arc-absorbing transformer integrates the function of power distribution, and some models can simultaneously supply power to low-voltage loads by installing zigzag connecting sub-winding in the iron core, which has the dual role of power transmission and system protection.
The main advantages are: the use of non-contact dynamic compensation technology, avoiding the risk of series resonance overvoltage; compact design saves 15%-30% copper compared with traditional devices; response speed of up to milliseconds, significantly improving the safety of the power grid and the reliability of power supply. Typically used in 35kV and below distribution networks, it can effectively reduce equipment damage and power outages caused by single-phase ground faults.
