I. Power industry developments
1. Energy storage and new energy progress
The 200MWh energy storage power station project in Xilingol League, Inner Mongolia, was formally transferred to commercial operation, becoming the first power-side independent energy storage demonstration project in the autonomous region.
The first “PV + storage” project in Laos (Gammon Sépangphi 50MW) was connected to the grid and generated electricity, and was contracted by China Energy Construction Gezhouba Power Company (CECGPC).
New energy generation in the Southern Power Grid region reached a record high of 1.15 billion kWh on a single day, accounting for 27% of the total electricity generation on that day.
2. Electricity Market and Policy
The National Energy Board held a meeting, emphasizing the promotion of the construction of a unified national electricity market, focusing on energy security, improving the market rules system, and plans to achieve full coverage of the provincial electricity spot market within the year.
Inner Mongolia 2024 green power trading volume of nearly 1.4 billion degrees, is expected to reach 10 billion degrees in 2025, cross-provincial trading prices rose significantly.
3. Major projects put into operation
Gansu Qingyang North 750 kV power transmission project was put into operation, providing key support for the “Longjiang Electricity into Lu” project.
The 102 major projects under the “14th Five-Year Plan” were 98% completed, involving energy, transportation and other infrastructures.
II. Transformer technology breakthroughs
1. Innovation in the field of ultra-high voltage
Wujiang Transformer ** released the world's first 1100kV low-noise reactor, the measured noise is less than 64 dB, without external noise enclosure, a technological breakthrough to save 25% of the operation and maintenance costs.
Xidian Xifeng** successfully developed the first and largest three-phase integrated million-unit 220kV transformer in China (SFP-1150000/220), with parameters reaching the international leading level.
2. Patent and testing technology
Hunan Wuling Power was awarded the patent of “Dissolved Gas Concentration Detection in Transformer Oil”, which can provide early warning of equipment failure and enhance the safety of the power system.
Guangzhou Siemens was awarded the patent of “Power Transformer Rising Block”, which optimizes the adaptability of equipment in high-voltage scenarios and helps energy transition.
3. Progress of Projects and Bids
Baochang Electric completed the first ±800kV UHV converter transformer for the “Xinjiang Electricity to Chongqing” project, with performance indexes better than the national standard.
Shandong Electric ** won the bid for Pakistan power transmission and distribution project, realizing the breakthrough of natural ester insulating oil transformer products in South China Network.
